WAV3000 wireless module creates a proprietary 5 GHz wireless network for MPEG
! R! b& E! N% T. B4 Q1 @/ Vtransport stream (TS) communication. The WAV3000 is a complete wireless transceiver module 1 q4 k; s2 C {, [% E/ }* L
that can be integrated as video sender and video receiver according to the host platform. When
" z" s: j6 X4 ?' c* N! xused as video sender, WAV3000 can be embedded in a video source device (DVD, VCR, PVR,
% D7 ^9 h' y6 C6 A2 H( BSTB, or PC); and when used as video receiver, WAV3000 can be embedded in a video display % B( r _) q+ w: p3 k V
device (TV, flat panel or video monitors). So a pair of the WAV3000 provides a complete,
& G5 v# L" ~& h2 A0 w# g8 Kglueless wireless connection from TS (of video source) to TS (of video display) with guaranteed
8 N" Z y/ T$ bQoS.
2 W( Q* y6 q4 L4 KThe WAV3000 includes a configurable expansion connector (CEC). All I/O signals can be
2 g7 Q7 c! `3 Hrouted and configured through the CEC enabling easy integration with existing host systems. 9 J' @; j! p/ f- N/ h
Figure 1 gives a functional block diagram of the WAV3000 and associated personality # ?2 G8 L* I4 R, g$ x u
module (PM). The personality module intends to simulate the host product platform in which the ; O8 T. U% q) C, @' {
WAV3000 will be integrated. The PM supports demo and evaluation of the WAV3000 with a 1 m S6 S9 s) b8 \
variety of video sources (analog and digital) for different applications. It also provides
